A graphic designer, documentation specialist, and customer service associate with over 20 years of experience, Task Owl VA founder, virtual assistant, and solopreneur, Laurie McAleenan is hired by small businesses and entrepreneurs as their fractional business support.

With a focus on helping her clients run their businesses more efficiently, with less stress which in turn, helps them make more money, Laurie’s past and current work includes business design audits, business rebranding, social media graphics, and engagement, email newsletters, document formatting, operating procedure creation, website build and updates, customer services, research, and artist promotion material.

She has experience working with a range of business sizes including large corporations in the aerospace industry, medium companies in the automotive industries, as well as with solopreneurs in the fine arts and finance industry. Her robust experience has led her to specialize in supporting small businesses and independent professionals in any profession.

Laurie has a BS from Florida Southern College and an MFA from Academy of Art University.

Currently living in Chesterfield, Virginia, Laurie is active in her community as a member of the Chester Artists Association and volunteer with the Alliance of Wild Animal Rehabilitation and Education (AWARE). She enjoys reading, painting, crafting, and spending time in nature.
